Atolla is a sustainable skincare brand that simplifies and personalizes daily skin routines. Atolla quickly outgrew their initial branding and needed a rebrand that showcased their scientific nature, simplicity, and sustainability. Their rebrand included a new logo, fresh colors, and clean typography, and their new packaging included self-mailing cardboard boxes, personalized bottles, and envelope-contained skin tests.

Apothekary is an herbal wellness brand that bridges Eastern herbalism and Western science. In their dedication to kaizen (continuous improvement), Apothékary sought a rebrand (done by Forner) that showed the efficacy of herbal medicine, addressed packaging concerns, and laid the groundwork for future growth. For their packaging, Apothekary recruited me to execute Forner’s vision. Each signature formula stands out with a distinctive color palette, ranging from serene blues and greens to vivid reds and pinks. Through ingredient collages by me and Forner, the signature and single herb boxes depict the real plants behind the formulas. The box’s addition of gold foil logos introduce an element of sophistication and the strategically placed die-cut invites viewers to glimpse the jar inside. The jars themselves are uniquely cubed with embossed logo-marked lids that add subtle distinction to the packaging. Apothekary’s new look and feel reaffirms its goal to make plant medicine an accessible and enjoyable part of everyday well-being.

After their rebrand for natural skincare line Mad Hippie, Two Things commissioned me to help design and execute the brand’s new packaging. The primary design goal was to preserve Mad Hippie’s original playful and optimistic spirit while embracing an elevated and minimal aesthetic. The new packaging reflects the Mad Hippie’s authenticity and commitment to challenging industry norms. It strikes a delicate balance between an approachable, DIY brand and a powerful, multi-purpose skincare identity. My work for Mad Hippie included packaging – tubes, boxes, and labels – and a refined a watercolor suite (painted by Mark Dusk) that stands as a prominent visual element throughout the brand.
