Sarah is an experienced senior writer and editor with a background in arts and culture journalism. She is currently a full-time freelance writer and editor focused on content writing and editing and journalism. Sarah has worked for media organizations such as VICE Media, CBC, and the National Post. Her work has appeared in the Globe and Mail, The Walrus, SLAM Canada, Elle Canada, FASHION, and the Toronto Star, among many others.

Sarah became a content writer at Shopify Plus in 2019. There, Sarah created the first of its kind brand content program on the Plus blog called Commerce in the World, which took a journalistic-style to commerce topics and culture. She profiled maude, a sexual wellness brand, NBA star Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat, superpower DTC underwear brand Lounge, and wrote longform blog content targeted to topics important to ecommerce leaders such as social commerce, live shopping, and wine going DTC.

Sarah works to empathetically and compassionately understand her subjects, using her journalistic background to conduct interviews, research, and put together a narrative piece that's both informative and enjoyable to read.

That said: Sarah's content experience runs the gamut including writing and editing longform guides, such as DTC selling and peak selling season, email writing for nurture campaigns, prospective newsletter writing, case study writing and editing, and script writing for events.
